The Rules are Simple
To enter the AlgoStockX Arena:
Have an approved account with Macro Global Markets.
You must be over 18 years of age to participate.
Limit your drawdowns to a reasonable level, earning profits in spite of big drawdowns are not viewed as favourably as a stable yet profitable system.
End the month in profit compared to the starting balance.
Balance adjustments will be taken into consideration, such as deposits or withdrawals. Live or paper accounts are accepted.
Only one account per entity will be accepted in the competition.
Exploitation of platform, tech, orders and any other unfair advantages will be disqualified from the competition. This includes exploitation of the simulated trading environment.

Set up the platform (TWS and Visual Studio or other code editor)
Code your strategy
Learn and grow with the community
Submit your entry each month, including starting balance on the 1st of the month to the end of the month with all trades, stops and targets that the report can pull.
Your intellectual property remains safe on your computer – we don’t request it from you.
FAQ
Do I need trading experience?
No, you will gain access to educational resources and training to help you understand financial markets, the platform and coding an algorithm in python. The AlgoStockX Arena is designed to share everything you need to make a quality start.
What platforms can I use?
We use Trader WorkStation (TWS) and a code editor of your choice, (even notepad can get the job done).
What coding language can I use?
While we mainly use Python in our tutorials, you can use Java, C++, C#, VB.NET, ActiveX and DDE (Excel).
Do I need to risk real money?
You need to set up a real account to be eligible to participate, but we can provide you with a Paper Trading account meaning no money is at risk while using your Paper Trading account.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes, we accept team entries.
Can I use an existing strategy?
Yes, you can use an existing strategy or make a new one. You can even run multiple strategies on the one account, but be mindful of your risk management when running an algorithmic portfolio.
